THIS is the moment a former Wisconsin elementary school teacher sobbed in court as a judge sentenced her to prison for engaging in a sexual relationship with an 11-year-old boy.
Madison Bergmann, 26, broke down in tears after being sentenced to six years of confinement, and was even told to calm down by judges.
She will then serve an additional six years on extended supervision.
Bergmann had pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual misconduct and one count of child enticement, according to local reports.
The charges stem from an inappropriate relationship with a child from River Crest Elementary School where she worked.
Authorities said Bergmann frequently communicated with the child through disturbing text messages and love notes.
Footage shows Bergmann starting to uncontrollably sob into a scrunched up tissue as she heard her fate.
She said through tears: “I want to make it absolutely clear that I take full accountability for every boundary that was crossed.”
The victim’s dad also broke his silence in court and spoke out on the ordeal calling the texts “disturbing stuff”.
He continued: “When I review the texts too, it’s very deliberate, talking about touching his leg, talking to my 11-year-old son about her period, talking about his erections.”
He said the messages made clear the disturbing extent of what his son had been exposed to.
Several other serious charges were dropped as part of a plea deal, according to court records obtained by the New York Post.
These included first-degree sexual assault of a child, using a computed to facilitate a child sex crime, exposing a child to harmful descriptions and further counts of sexual misconduct by school staff and child enticement.
According to a criminal complaint, Bergmann had sent text messages saying how much she enjoyed “making out” with the child.
She also wrote in one of her messages: “Dude I love you so much more – like I didn’t think it was possible – but oh my god today during reading….”
Local reports say she told him how much she liked when he touched her.
Bergmann was exposed after the boy’s mum allegedly overheard the pair speaking on the phone.
After checking his phone, the parents uncovered lewd messages detailing encounters in the classroom during lunch breaks and after school.
Investigators later uncovered an extensive trail of communication.
Cops discovered thousands of text messages exchanged between Bergmann and the child.
School resource officer Traci Hall testified that Bergmann and the boy swapped a whopping 33,000 messages.
Authorities also uncovered over 100 handwritten notes and pieces of art work connected to the relationship.
The materials were described as love notes written from Bergmann to the child which she secretly kept in a folder in the classroom with the boys name on it.
Some notes allegedly read: “I love you, want to kiss you, you turn me on, and I am obsessed with you.”
The child’s furious dad confronted the school with printouts of the disturbing messages.
Reports say Bergmann pleaded guilty in an effort to receive a reduced sentence.
She begged the judge to sentence her to only one year but prosecutors argued that was far too lenient.
Bergmann was arrested in May, just three months before her planned July wedding.
Her then-fiancé abruptly cancelled the wedding after finding out about the shocking allegations.
Attorney Joseph Tamburino previously said: “There is never any language where she says, ‘I want to have sex with you or that he says ‘I want you to do this with me.’
“They talk a lot about kissing, and lips, and cheeks, and touching legs. They also talk about some sexual issues, obviously, about a woman’s body and a man’s body.
“But nothing like, ‘this is what I want you to do to me,’ or ‘this is what I will do to you.’”
